JEE Main April 2025: Correction Window Opens – Check What Can and Cannot Be Edited
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially opened the correction window for JEE (Main) April 2025 session. Candidates who have registered for Session 1 and/or Session 2 now have the opportunity to modify certain details in their application forms. However, the changes allowed depend on whether the candidate had registered for both sessions earlier or applied only for Session 2. Who Can Edit Their Details?
- Existing Candidates: Those who registered during JEE Main 2025 Session 1 (between 28 October and 22 November 2025) and also applied for Session 2 (between 2 February and 25 February 2025).
- New Candidates: Those who registered only for Session 2 during the application window (2 February to 25 February 2025).
Modifications Allowed for Existing Candidates
Candidates who registered for both sessions can edit or modify the following details:
- Course (Paper) – Candidates can switch their selected paper.
- Medium of Question Paper – Change of language preference is allowed.
- State Code of Eligibility – Candidates can update their state eligibility code.
- Examination Cities – Subject to availability, candidates can modify their preferred exam cities.
- Educational Qualification Details – Changes in Class 10 and Class 12 information are permitted.
- Gender – Candidates can update their gender.
- Category – Category modifications are allowed.
- Fee Payment (if applicable) – If changes impact the application fee, additional payments will be required.

Restrictions for Existing Candidates
Candidates will NOT be allowed to modify:
- Mobile Number
- Email Address
- Permanent and Present Address
- Emergency Contact Details
- Photograph
Additionally, candidates can change only one of the following:
- Candidate Name
- Father’s Name
- Mother’s Name
Modifications Allowed for New Candidates (Session 2 Only)
Candidates who applied for JEE Main 2025 Session 2 alone are allowed broader modifications, including:
- Educational Qualification Details (Class 10 & 12)
- State Code of Eligibility
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Category
- Sub-category/PwD Status
- Signature
- Paper Selection
- Examination City Selection (based on their Permanent and Present addresses)
- Medium of the Examination
How to Make Corrections
To make corrections to your JEE-Main 2025 application, follow these steps:
- Visit the Official NTA Website: Go to www.nta.ac.in to access the official portal.
- Login with Your Credentials: Use your JEE-Main login details (application number and password) to access your account.
- Navigate to the Correction Link: Locate the link for making corrections in the application form and click on it.
- Make the Necessary Changes: Edit the relevant fields in your application, including course, exam city, category, and other details.
- Verify Details: Carefully review all the changes you’ve made to ensure they are accurate.
